Patient complaint:
- This 29 years old young male patient from Guindy came to our clinic with a chief complaint of pain in decayed tooth in lower right side jaw since 3 days and he had taken some painkillers which gave him temporary relief, but again after sometimes the pain starts says the patrient.
On clinical examination:
- Patient presented with pain and decayed tooth in right side lower jaw(46) which is tender on percussion, so he had taken some painkiller but they just gave him a temporary relief.
- Photographs and x-rays were taken to rule out the infection in the decayed tooth root.
- x-ray revealed deep dental caries in tooth no 46 which is almost involving the pulp and there is no obvious infection the the root portion.
Preoperative image
Treatment plan:
- RCT(root canal treatment) for the decayed tooth under local anesthesia followed by a zirconia crown.
Treatment done:
- RCT done for the decayed tooth under local anesthesia using painless injection technique and medications given.
- The next day the RC treated was prepared to receive the crown and 3D scanning(measurement) taken which is mailed to the lab
- Metal free zirconia crown is ready to be fixed.
- The crown is fixed onto the teeth.
