Diastema is usually caused because of the discrepancy between the jaw and the tooth size, but there could be many other possible causes.
Many treatment options are available for the correction of diastema depending on your condition.
But here we have a patient, whose smile is restored back in an hour by smile designing with composites(tooth color filling).
This 35 years old female patient traveled from a village near Tiruvallur which is 45 kms from chennai.
She came to our clinic not with a complaint but with a desire to close her gaps between her upper front teeth.
Patients said that she can not come regularly for the treatment if it would be along term process and also she can not afford such treatment.
On clinical examination: Patient presented with mid line diastema, but we were surprised to see her oral hygiene. she had maintained it very well.
After a session of photograph and x-ray, we suggested her smile designing with composite filling.
