Dental Implant for full teeth reconstruction

  • For many patients with missing teeth eating becomes a challenge, this is because after tooth loss they don’t replace it with either denture or dental implants.
  • Most of the time even dentures don’t help them with proper chewing because of poor stability.
  • At this point the patient starts taking semi solid soft foods, even with soft foods the gums and jaws work double the time to chew the food, this puts a negative impact on the gums and jaw bones.
  • General health is greatly affected because of this, causing indigestion, stomach upset, loss of appetite etc.
  • Eating without teeth puts you at a greater health risk  so replacing the missing teeth is very important for your oral and general health.
  • This particular female Patient aged 62 was one among them, she had real hard time in taking food. Patient came to our clinic with a chief complaint of missing teeth both in her upper and lower jaws for a quit long time, she said most of her teeth were shaking and then she eventually lost them.
  • She did not replace the missing teeth and later she was wearing a removable denture which used to be loose with which she again had difficulty in chewing so this time she wants a fixed solution for her problem.
  • On clinical examination: Patient had partially edentulous upper and lower jaw(80% of her tooth were lost), remaining natural tooth were shaking.
  • Digital photographs and x-rays were taken.
  • Patient presented with a medical history of diabetes and hypertension.
  • Treatment plan suggested for her was a full mouth rehabilitation(replacing all teeth in the mouth) with dental implants followed by a fixed provisional bridge.
  • Following her medical evaluation on the 1st day of her treatment her remaining natural tooth was extracted under local anesthesia and dental implants were fixed.
  • 2nd day impression( measurement) of both upper and lower jaw were taken and jaw relation recorded.
  • 3rd day wax trail of the teeth and bridge was seen.
  • 4th day her provisional bridge was fixed.
